Math-Sparks is an experiential learning program designed to expose children to the beauty of
numbers and make them comfortable working with numbers. In addition to this, children will
be engaged in activities which will improve logical thinking, reasoning, problem solving and
listening skills.
Children usually count using fingers. In our teaching methodology children are trained to
look at numbers as a function of 10’s or multiples of ten and work around it, thereby
eliminating the need to use fingers.
Many children know to work with numbers only vertically. Learning to do operations
horizontally is important in higher grades and competitive exams – as it will save time and
will help children to improve their speed and avoid silly mistakes.
